An out-of-this-world proposal
Canadian Shawn Wright proposed to his girlfriend of six years, Maylynn Stephenson, by sending the ring 33km (110,000 feet), above the Earth, to the edge of space before popping the question. "I thought, how could I make this special? I can't just hand it to her. I thought for a split second that it would be cool to send it into space. Kind of enchanting the ring for her," he told US cable channel HLN.
